New Craft Beer, Wine Bar Set to Open in Wakeman on March 12
The Craft Beer & Wine Barn at the Wakeman Elevator Announces Grand Opening
Wakeman, OH – February 16, 2016 – The Village of Wakeman is about to get its newest hot spot as the Craft Beer & Wine Barn announces they will officially open for business inside the historic Wakeman grain elevator on Saturday, March 12. The rustic space at 16 Hyde Street in Wakeman offers a half dozen rotating craft beers on tap and more than a dozen other bottled import and domestic beers, along with premium and local Ohio wines from the region. A light menu to pair with the wines and beers is also offered.
Proprietor Jeff Krieger says the space is defined by its rustic charm and slice of Americana. With a copper look ceiling, reclaimed barn wood and cabinets, and a handmade bar, the space seats 25 in the main bar area, and spills over into the Event Center at the Wakeman Elevator where folks can sit comfortably and carry on warm conversation by the massive fireplace.
“It’s amazing to see the transformation of this space,” Krieger smiled. “With some vision, some gumption, a lot of sweat and the help of friends and family, we were able to turn this unused, empty space into a place where folks can gather, share stories, make memories and enjoy some top quality craft beers and wines.”
The Craft Beer & Wine Barn will host various live entertainment from time to time, and the selections of beers and wines will rotate throughout the season. Growlers of beer are available to purchase, as are bottles of the local wines. “We’re excited about the opening, and look forward to many years of being a warm, gathering place for folks from all around looking to experience something a little different.”
